Using the Tjärnö Marine Biological Laboratory as a basecamp, this expedition in 2013 saw Daniel supporting the research of Dr Martyn Kurr which focused on investigating the defence and reproductive strategies of the marine alga Ascophyllum nodosum.
This succesful fieldwork utilized basecamp facilities to access the many beautiful islets and bays that surround this area.
